companion was born in 2019, over a home-cooked meal on their patio—a nightly ritual rooted in food, connection, and conversation. Lifelong hosts and curators at heart, the Monicas dreamed of creating a space that felt just like their own: warm, inviting, and intentional.

One evening, on a neighborhood walk, they stumbled upon the space that would become companion. It felt serendipitous—meant to be. From there, the vision quickly began to take shape.

When they were introduced to Chef Jack Goode through a mutual friend, the final piece fell into place. Jack’s ingredient-driven approach and thoughtful creativity aligned perfectly with the spirit of companion. Together, they crafted a menu—and a space—that celebrates community, comfort, and curiosity.
